Coaching Unlimited — a deep coaching intensive for professional coaches
We had our third edition of Coaching Unlimited for 2022 from 9th- 12th December 2022 at a resort in Bangalore. Coaching Unlimited is a one-of-a-kind deep coaching intensive for practicing credentialed coaches (ICF- ACC, PCC, or MCC).
The journey to Mastery, or coaching beyond certifications, consists of
- Learn to coach — ‘Become a professional coach.’
- Practice professional coaching
- Train and mentor aspiring coaches to their certification and credentials
Coaching Retreats — deep coaching intensive with fellow coaches, co-creating the magic.
Chasing Mastery! It is still a journey… the journey is more important.
Some reflections…
Coaching is partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process to
- Set goals for the engagement and individual sessions,
- Deep exploration of underlying (limiting) beliefs, biases, mental maps, and variants.
- Create new awareness, leading to actions
that maximize potential, personal and professional. (@ICFHQ definition of Coaching)
Apart from all of the above, professional coaching is also
1. Managing time contracted (elementary, Watson?)
Meanwhile, at the retreat,
- One professional coach does not wear a watch nor keep track of time during a coaching conversation.
- Another professional coach demonstrates a deep coaching conversation in 55 minutes. Though contracted for one hour, he does not track time during the session. Manages to complete the deep conversation, including time for the client to tear up and take time to come to grips with emotion. All in 55 minutes.
The need to manage time without looking at the watch/clock/laptop is mastery in action too.
Setting goals, exploring deeply, partnering for new awareness, and co-creating new actions… all in the client’s service.
Professional coaching is transformational. It is not complicated with a bundle of unrelated tools/services, add-ons, or marketing gimmicks. Nor is it about confusion from the ego-based mind. ‘Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.’ And that includes communication competencies based on language.
Coaching at mastery happens without any additional crutches. Mastery is more than the state of mind. It is in action too.
