India PEW Survey, Democracy, Religion, Culture & Superstitions

Delighted to listen to Shekhar Gupta @theprint #IndiansAndReligion
Listening to his #CutTheClutter on the survey, reminded me of the lines of this popular Hindi song…
‘Yeh Mera India, I love my India…’
Here is the link to his analysis of the #pewsurvey
Shekhar Gupta asks then what is the problem? Perhaps it is a small minority of people
- Who is your favourite (Hindu) God? You will be surprised to hear the top 5 popular deities. (Hey Ram!)
- What unites us all? Superstitions, etc !!! United Colors of Superstitions!!
The #culture of India is what it unique, and great. Master calls it ‘Bharatheeya Culture…’, beyond caste, creed, religion.
Our democracy is our core strength. Let us strengthen it, also the pillars thereof.
PS: What makes it sweeter? When China’s authoritarian CCP celebrates its century, our democracy is thriving. Also all the pillars of democracy. It is still not perfect, but we can aspire for perfection, our #FullPotential, beyond petty politics.
